Welcome
To Blue Heron Yoga!
It
is important in these days and times to have an internal focused
practice. The ancient yogis tell us that true happiness and contentment
is found within. The external world can provide happiness but it
is transient in nature. Yoga teaches us how to look inwards at our
body, our breath and our mind and to initiate our practice there.We
discipline the body in asanas to create more strength, flexibility,
and health. We become aware of our breath and train ourselves to
breath deeper and more fully to bring in more life and conciousness.
We become aware of our thoughts and work to create more positive
and present ones to positively affect ourselves and those around
us. As yogis we seek not to change our external environment, but

Jessi
Hastings, a certified Iyengar Yoga teacher, invites you to join
in yoga classes in the Iyengar tradition. Iyengar yoga is available
to all, regardless of age, flexibility, body type etc. This yoga
teaches you how to create symmetry, strength and flexibility in
all muscle groups. Props are used to assist the body to do the poses
if it is stiff or has lost range of motion. It is never too late
to take up yoga. In fact, if you start today, think where you will
be in 10 years from now.
Yoga
has been a powerful healing factor in Jessi's life and she wishes
to share with you what she has learned and continues to learn.
